Chris Brookes, Director, UK Health Forum, participated in the National Voices discussion on how they could take forward work on Health Inequalities, on Tuesday 14th November 2017.
Chris's principle point was that although the action from National Voices should be focused, it should be embedded in a framework of socio-economic status inequalities, exclusionary processes for particular groups,  and action across all domains: health and social care, behaviours, and the wider determinants of health.
National Voices are interested in developing a broad project which builds on collective knowledge of the voluntary and community sector, acting in a convening role. It is likely to include a focus on co-production of solutions, and ensuring that the voices at community level are involved, respected and heard.
