Summary
The UK Health Forum today welcomes the new Tobacco Control Plan.
We are pleased to see the long awaited plan and its ambitions for a smoke free generation by 2022.
It aims to reduce the number of 15 year olds who regularly smoke from 8% to 3% or less;
to reduce smoking among adults in England from 15.5% to 12% or less and to
reduce the inequality gap in smoking prevalence, among other objectives.
The UK Health Forum (UKHF) call for adequate resourcing to support its implementation.
